The PURPOSE of Children’s Ministry at DHUMC is to connect infants through 6th graders to Jesus Christ – helping them to grow in their faith

Sunday School – 9:00-10:00am each Sunday for three year olds through sixth grade. Younger children are welcome in our infant and toddler nursery.
Children’s Church – during our 10:15am Worship Service. Appropriate age level activities are provided for three year olds through 2nd graders.
Family Night – our mid-week Family Night is on Wednesdays. Dinner is served from 5:45-6:30pm. The Joyful Noise Choir practices at 6:15pm. Faith Builder Classes meet at 6:30pm for three year olds-fourth graders. RAD 56 meets at the same time for 5th & 6th graders. Childcare is provided for infants and toddlers. Bible Study is available for adults. Family Night runs September through mid-April.
Kids Day Out – outings for families of DHUMC with children (infants-sixth grade). Great way to meet people and bring a friend to church. Past events include bowling, roller skating, bicycling, pizza & game night, gymnastics, etc.
UPWARD SportsTM – a children’s sports ministry specifically designed for kindergarten-sixth grade boys and girls. UPWARD places emphasis on Christ-likeness and good sportsmanship. UPWARD promotes salvation, character and self-esteem. Basketball signups have started for the 2011-2012 season. Please visit the Upward Basketball page to print out a sign up form.

Seasonal Programs – Additional opportunities for children include Vacation Bible School, Children’s Christmas Drama, Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry.
