Mountain Mission Truck

The Mountain Mission Truck will be here on Tuesday, August 30th. Items should be placed in boxes and taken to the garage. Your generous donations are always greatly appreciated by those in need. Thank You.

Family Night Begins September 7

Family Night is a mid-week opportunity for spiritual growth.  On Wednesday evenings classes are available for all ages and the Nursery is staffed.  You can bring the whole family!  Dinner is served at 5:45pm (freewill donation).  Classes begin at 6:30 and conclude at 7:30.   Plan now to make Wednesday Family Night part of your weekly schedule – beginning on September 7.

Pictures Needed

We are looking for church related activity/group pictures to put in our new church director. Please bring pictures to the church office or email a jpeg file to office@dhumc.com by noon on Tuesday, August 30th. Examples of pictures needed are Christmas Play/Cantata, Fish/Chicken/Turkey Dinner, Mission Trips, Small Groups, Church Picnic, Choir/Bells, Women’s Retreat, Mother Daughter Banquet, Softball, Auction, UMM/UMW and any other church event.

United Methodist Women

The UMW is still taking donations for health kits which cost $10 each. The UMW will purchase the items and then have a “Packing Party” to assemble the kits at noon on Thursday, September 15th. These kits are distributed worldwide. What a great way to help someone in need.

Discipleship Expedition

Discipleship Expedition is a ten week course designed to help strengthen your faith, and is a prerequisite for church membership.  The topics covered will provide a foundational understanding of basic Christian beliefs and practices, of Dearborn Hills’ vision and purpose, of United Methodist history and doctrine, and of your place in the life of the church.  The Expedition begins September 11th during the Sunday School hour.  For more information or to sign up contact the church office.

Chicken Dinner

The United Methodist Men’s Annual Chicken Dinner will be Saturday, September 10th from 4:00-7:00pm. Yard signs are available in the entry way for those members that would like to place one in their yard.
